Hello all. Information about Darren’s funeral can be found on his memorial page here. The wake venue is yet to be confirmed but as soon as we have that it will be added to the memorial page. Also on the memorial page are links to donate to MacMillan and Cancer Research in lieu of flowers please.
What to Wear
It is Darren’s wish that people wear bright colours, preferably one of his t-shirts. His family and close friends will all be wearing jeans, trainers and one of his t-shirts. If you would like to wear one of his t-shirts and have not collected one from me, let me know and I will keep one aside for you. Otherwise I will take the remaining ones in a box for people to collect on the day. If you would rather wear your own clothes please feel free!
Am I allowed to come?
If you would like to attend, come! You can either come to remember Darren or to support me.
I don’t think I can make it …
There is no expectation on anyone to attend. Many people have read Darren’s blog but that doesn’t mean you have to take time off/make a long trip to attend his funeral. It will be live-streamed so you can watch it where you are, if you want. He has recorded a video message, in traditional Darren-style, which I will upload somewhere.
