A quiet few days. Managed to go out in the car in Wednesday, just a drive around. Darren is finding eating quite intimidating, it’s important not to serve him too much. He maybe has 3 small meals per day. Standing up and moving around (with the walker) is challenging for him but he tries really hard to do it when necessary. He sleeps on and off in the morning, waking for breakfast and maybe lunch, and then is usually more awake mid afternoon.
He has a lot less energy and everything is exhausting for him. Talking is particularly tiring so we’re usually quiet. Dr Tom phoned to check in yesterday and will call again on Sunday. We can have carers in to help us when Darren is ready, or when I am not able to properly administer his care.
